The Trulap 8552 G4 puts a full rack of light-to-moderate dumbbells into two compact units. Each dumbbell sets anywhere from 8.5 to 52 lb (4 to 23.5 kg): leave it in its docking base, turn the handle, and the plates you selected lock on while the rest stay behind in the base. One pair covers the job of 28 traditional dumbbells.

The selector shows the weight in both pounds and kilograms, so it works for lifters who train in either unit. Because unused plates stay in the base, the dumbbell is shorter at light settings and only grows to full length as you load it, which keeps curls, raises and presses from feeling bulky at low weights.

Plates are cast iron with an electroplated stainless finish, the handle is aluminum and the docking bases are reinforced nylon. If you outgrow 52 lb, the Trulap 8552-to-8592 Expansion Kit takes the same pair up to 92 lb per hand. Add the Trulap G2 or height-adjustable G3 rack to keep the pair at waist height.

Trulap covers manufacturing defects and shipping damage for three years from the day you receive your order, and Trulap’s dealer terms include commercial use. Dropping the dumbbells or taking the handle apart voids coverage, but Trulap gives one complimentary drop claim during the warranty term. Every replacement part stays available after the warranty ends.
